Our Finnish adventure began with a flight from Milan to Helsinki, where the heart of Finland's culture and elegance welcomed us. After a quick dinner and beer, we settled into our accommodation in the city center, ready to embark on an unforgettable journey.

A short flight took us to Rovaniemi, where we rented a car from Sixt, ensuring we opted for comprehensive insurance to navigate the snowy roads ahead. Our first stop was the magical Santa Claus Village, a place where it feels like Christmas all year long. After a late lunch, anticipation built as we joined Arctic Adventure Northern Lights tour. As the sky painted itself with shades of green, we marveled at the ethereal dance of the Northern Lights, a breathtaking sight that left us in awe.

Onward we journeyed, driving for hours through snow-covered landscapes to reach Tundrea, the northernmost part of the country. The picturesque drive was a journey itself, as we ventured through pristine, untouched landscapes. Our accommodation at the Holiday Resort offered not only comfort but also a stunning view of the Northern Lights from the warmth of our room. Dinner at Tundrea Restaurant introduced us to local flavors and a cozy ambiance.

After a soothing sauna experience, we embarked on a four-hour drive from Tundrea to Inari, a journey that proved to be the most beautiful road trip we had ever undertaken. The desolate beauty of the snow-covered route was punctuated only by a charming roadside stop at Tieva-Baari Ky, where we enjoyed a quick lunch. Our accommodations at Hotel Village Inari offered tranquility and a connection to nature, while dinner at Ukko Restaurant satisfied our taste buds with its delectable offerings.

Our final day began with a stunning sunrise that bathed Inari in warm hues. We retraced our steps from Inari to Rovaniemi, returning our car and catching a flight back to Helsinki. The evening was spent savoring the last tastes of Finnish cuisine at Natura Restaurant, a fitting finale to our Arctic expedition.
